This happens. I found this blog some weeks ago, and after reading some entries, and review the related blogs, I was totally immersed on a very strange and inspiring world. Is not about hijabs, you know, is about living your beliefs, creating supporting networks, and continue being you. In this case, they are women who fit fashion and modesty. But it can be applied to any topic on your life.
Following Paula's suggestion, I continue with my idea here.
Is not an easy issue being different. Externally different. In the case of Stephanie (the author of the blog I mentioned before) she is externally different from their neighbours and classmates, because of her religion, and the choose she made about wearing a Hijab. But I found she has a big number of supporters, who reinforce her choices, and encourage her in daily life and facing dificulties in occidental societies.
We can do the same, if we are cooperative people, and we can create supporting networks using technologies to help us reach our goals and dreams. I thought about being more active, do exercises, care about my appearance, and find my perfect style. I love to have friends from everywhere, and really admire who can do this. So, I think I will start now, taking control of my life. From here, to eternity.
Hi Lía,
ReplyDeleteCan you elaborate on this, pls.?
Paula
And, I have to admit, I'm really inspired by "their" style. All of those women, who combine daily clothes with modesty. And I think it suits me.
